[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”35px”][vc_column_text]President, Indian Movie News Readers Club (1960 \u2013 1970) Through the Readers\u2019 Club he organised many social, cultural and charity activities to get the Indian youths of the time involved in community work. The club had Vee Meng Shaw as its Patron and was the leading Indian youth organisation of the 60s in Singapore. The club\u2019s activities greatly benefited the Indian community.<\/p>\n He created history when he was commissioned by PRIME12 TV<\/strong> in 1996 to produce the first<\/strong> Tamil TV serial in Singapore by his independent production house, IMN Films Pte Ltd. The story was based on the community’s social evils. Indian film stars such as Sarath Babu, Aishwani starred in the serial together with a sizable number of local artistes and the director of the 5-part serial was the popular Tamil films director G Rengarajan.
