Mohamed Abdul Jaleel, Chief Executive Officer of the MES Group Investment Holding Pte Ltd and Group of Companies has made an enormous contribution towards the welfare of society. He has actively been a part of various charitable causes including the Yellow Ribbon Fund STAR Bursary; The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) and The Mohamed Abdul Jaleel Bursary.<\/p>\n
Being a relentless advocate of education and students\u2019 wellbeing, he left no stone unturned to ensure thousands of children from underprivileged backgrounds have access to quality education that not only will provide them with a secure future but also shape them into great human beings eventually creating a strong nation i.e. Singapore.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s take a quick look at some of his contributions towards key educational and training institutions in Singapore:<\/p>\n
Yellow Ribbon FUND Star Bursary, Singapore: Here, Mohamed Abdul Jaleel donated $209,000 in order to support the vocational and skills training of financially struggling ex-offenders so that they can have meaningful careers and live independently.<\/p>\n
Apart from creating a pathway for employment, he also believes in giving second chances to people who want to become better citizens and give back to society.<\/p>\n
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF): Even during the testing times of the Pandemic, Mr Jaleel made a humungous donation of $500,000 to support students from underprivileged Singaporean families.<\/p>\n
The fund came into operation on Children\u2019s Day on October 1, 2000, and has helped approximately 18,000 families whose per capita gross monthly household income is not more than $690.<\/p>\n
Mohamed Abdul Jaleel Bursary: The bursary came into existence to support financially needy but deserving students who have enrolled in undergraduate degree programmes offered by the institute.<\/p>\n
