Born into a family with a strong educational background, Vikram Nair was always inclined towards academics and leadership. He pursued his tertiary education at the National University of Singapore, where he earned a Bachelor of Law degree with honours. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a career that would later intertwine law, governance, and community service. After completing his education, he took on roles in corporate law and public service, which honed his leadership skills and deepened his understanding of Singapore’s multicultural fabric.
Nair entered politics in 2011 when he was elected as the MP for the Sembawang Group Representation Constituency (GRC). Since then, he has been an active member of the People’s Action Party (PAP), which has been the ruling party in Singapore since its independent status.
